UV Protection Films
Protect what the sun is quietly fading.
Ultraviolet light is what bleaches sofas, warps wooden floors and fades framed art, and glass lets most of it through. Clear UV protection film filters it out at the window while leaving the glass looking almost exactly as it did — a good fit when you love the view and the daylight and just want the interior protected.
Because these films are optically clear, they are often the right answer where a building's facade can't change appearance, or in heritage and sea-facing homes where the priority is protection rather than heat control. They can also be layered with a heat-rejecting film when both are needed.
Why people choose it
- Slows fading of upholstery, curtains and flooring
- Helps protect framed art, books and collectibles
- Near-invisible from inside and outside
- Daylight and view stay as they are
- Suits glass where the facade appearance can't change
- Reduces UV exposure for people sitting by the window
Best for
How it works
- 1Site visit. We look at the glass in person — which way it faces, what the room suffers from (heat, glare, overlooking, safety) and how big each pane is.
- 2Film selection. A film is matched to your glass and your problem, and you see the options against your own windows before anything is ordered.
- 3Installation. Glass prepared and cleaned, film applied wet for accurate positioning and squeegeed flat. Floors protected and the area tidied afterwards.
- 4Aftercare. Care and curing guidance at handover, and a phone number that still gets answered if anything needs a second look.
Common questions
Does UV film change how my windows look?+
Clear UV films are close to invisible. You may notice a very slight shift in reflection at certain angles, but the view and brightness stay essentially the same.
Will it stop my furniture fading completely?+
It slows fading significantly by filtering UV, but visible light and heat also contribute to colour change, so no window film can stop fading entirely. For the best protection we can pair UV film with a heat-control film.
Is it suitable for older or heritage glass?+
Often yes — clear UV film is usually the gentlest option. Old glass can be thinner and more prone to heat stress, so we check it first and avoid dark, heat-absorbing films on it.
