Sun Control & Heat-Rejection Films
Block Mumbai heat. Keep the daylight.
West-facing Mumbai rooms bake from midday to sunset. Sun control film works on the glass itself, reducing the solar heat and glare that pass through while still letting daylight in — so rooms stay more comfortable, screens become readable again, and the air conditioner isn't fighting the window all afternoon.
Films range from near-clear options that barely change how the glass looks to darker or reflective grades for fully exposed facades. Which one is right depends on the glass, the orientation, the floor you're on and how much of the view and brightness you want to keep — which is why it's chosen at a site visit rather than from a catalogue.
Why people choose it
- Rooms feel more comfortable through the hottest part of the day
- Less glare on laptops, TVs and monitors
- Helps protect furniture, floors and artwork from sun damage
- Can ease the load on your air conditioning
- Goes onto your existing glass — no replacement needed
- Choice of near-clear, neutral and reflective finishes
Best for
How it works
- 1Site visit. We look at the glass in person — which way it faces, what the room suffers from (heat, glare, overlooking, safety) and how big each pane is.
- 2Film selection. A film is matched to your glass and your problem, and you see the options against your own windows before anything is ordered.
- 3Installation. Glass prepared and cleaned, film applied wet for accurate positioning and squeegeed flat. Floors protected and the area tidied afterwards.
- 4Aftercare. Care and curing guidance at handover, and a phone number that still gets answered if anything needs a second look.
Common questions
Which sun control film suits Mumbai's heat?+
It depends on the orientation, the glass and how much brightness you want to keep. West-facing and high-floor glass usually justifies a higher heat-rejection grade; a shaded or east-facing window can use something much lighter. We recommend the grade at the site visit, once we've seen the glass.
Will sun control film make my room dark in the monsoon?+
Not if the film is chosen with that in mind. Lighter, near-clear grades keep rooms bright on overcast days. If you want strong heat control and the room is already dim in July, say so when you call and we'll steer you away from darker tints.
Can it go on tinted or double-glazed glass?+
Sometimes, with care. Some glass types can crack from heat build-up under the wrong film, so the glass is checked first and a compatible film is recommended — or we'll tell you if film isn't advisable.
Will it reduce my AC usage?+
Reducing the heat that enters through glass generally makes rooms easier to cool, with the effect strongest on large, sun-facing windows. We don't promise a specific saving — it varies with the room, the glass and how you use the AC.
